Michael's story begins in Lea County, New Mexico, where his roots stretch back to his paternal great-grandfather. His maternal family were Armenian Genocide refugees from Southeast Turkey and Northern Syria who immigrated to Detroit, Michigan. Growing up amidst the oil fields of Southeast New Mexico and traveling extensively in South America has given him a unique perspective on life, emphasizing the importance of extending a helping hand and maintaining a heart of gratitude.
After graduating from Lovington High School, Michael served a two-year mission for his church in Utah. Upon returning home, he married his wonderful wife, Haley. Michael attended Brigham Young University-Hawaii and received his B.S. Accounting in 2010 after which Michael and Haley moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico. Together, they have four sons, Reid, Pepper, Nico and Kit.
FINANCIAL CAREER & EXPERIENCE
Michael began his career in the financial industry, guided by the values he learned early: always be willing to extend a helping hand. He worked with Fidelity Investments before transitioning to become an independent advisor and starting his own practice, Square72 Investments in Albuquerque, New Mexico. As a Registered Representative with LPL Financial, he was driven by a desire to engage with clients personally through financial planning and investment strategy.
Michael achieves this by treating each client with the same respect and care he would want for his own parents if they were seeking assistance with their financial goals.
Outside the office, Michael is an avid road cyclist, often commuting to work by bike. He cherishes road trips with his family, having explored nearly all of America, from Washington to Florida and Michigan, to visit family. The Camp Family is attempting to visit every Major League Baseball Stadium before their eldest graduates high school. Michael and Haley are committed donors to a scholarship fund for students at BYU-Hawaii and are active members of their church community.
